1.（我信你是默西亞，天主子。）
若望福音 11:19-27
那時候，有許多猶太人來到瑪爾大和瑪利亞那裏，為她們兄弟的死而安慰她們。瑪爾大一聽說耶穌來了，便去迎接他；瑪利亞仍坐在家裏。瑪爾大對耶穌說：「若是你在這裏，我的兄弟決不會死！就是現在，我也知道：你無論向天主求什麼，天主必要賜給你。」耶穌對她說：「你的兄弟必定要復活。」瑪爾大說：「我知道在末日復活時，他必要復活。」耶穌對她說：「我就是復活，就是生命；信從我的，即使死了，仍要活著；凡活著而信從我的人，必永遠不死。你信麼？」她回答說：「是的，主，我信你是默西亞，天主子，要來到世界上的那一位。」
讀經一（如果我們彼此相愛，天主就在我們心中。）
若望一書 4:7-16
可愛的諸位：我們應該彼此相愛，因為愛是出於天主；凡有愛的，都是生於天主，也認識天主；那不愛的，也不認識天主，因為天主是愛。天主對我們的愛在這事上已顯示出來：就是天主把自己的獨生子，打發到世界上來，好使我們藉著他得到生命。愛就在於此：不是我們愛了天主，而是他愛了我們，且打發自己的兒子，為我們做贖罪祭。可愛的諸位：既然天主這樣愛了我們，我們也應該彼此相愛。從來沒有人瞻仰過天主；如果我們彼此相愛，天主就存留在我們內，他的愛在我們內才是圓滿的。我們所以知道我們存留在他內，他存留在我們內，就是由於他賜給了我們的聖神。至於我們，我們卻曾瞻仰過，並且作證：父打發了子來作世界的救主。誰若明認耶穌是天主子，天主就存在他內，他也存在天主內。我們認識了，且相信了天主對我們所懷的愛。天主是愛，那存留在愛內的，就存留在天主內，天主也存留在他內。
Reading 1
JN 4:7-16
Let us love one another, since love comes from God My dear people,
let us love one another
since love comes from God
and everyone who loves is begotten(出於) by God and knows God.
Anyone who fails to love can never have known God,
because God is love.
God’s love for us was revealed
when God sent into the world his only Son
so that we could have life through him;
this is the love I mean:
not our love for God,
but God’s love for us when he sent his Son
to be the sacrifice that takes our sins away.
My dear people,
since God has loved us so much,
we too should love one another.
No one has ever seen God;
but as long as we love one another
God will live in us
and his love will be complete in us.
We can know that we are living in him
and he is living in us
because he lets us share his Spirit.
We ourselves saw and we testify
that the Father sent his Son
as saviour of the world.
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God,
God lives in him, and he in God.
We ourselves have known and put our faith in
God’s love towards ourselves.
God is love
and anyone who lives in love lives in God,
and God lives in him.
Gospel
JN 11:19-27
Many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary
to comfort them about their brother [Lazarus, who had died].
When Martha heard that Jesus was coming,
she went to meet him;
but Mary sat at home.
Martha said to Jesus,
“Lord, if you had been here,
my brother would not have died.
But even now I know that whatever you ask of God,
God will give you.”
Jesus said to her,
“Your brother will rise.”
Martha said to him,
“I know he will rise,
in the resurrection on the last day(審判).”
Jesus told her,
“I am the resurrection and the life;
whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,
and anyone who lives and believes in me will never die.
Do you believe this?”
She said to him, “Yes, Lord.
I have come to believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God,
the one who is coming into the world.”
